“It annoys the hell out of me when Lennon or even Beatle fans accuse of John being a wife beater or terrible father. Have they read ‘John’ by Cynthia Lennon? She clearly states that John had only hit her once & apologised straight after for what he done. Julian had also made trips to see john when he was in New York. i have so much respect for Julian not being able to be with his dad for the start of his life but he seems to cross so ungrateful, he was so lucky that he could see his dad.”

“Sean doesn’t deserve nearly as much sympathy as Julian. Sean got 5 solid years with John and was dotted over every single day. Julian went 17 years not knowing how much John cared about him, or knowing whether or not he was really cared for at all. I’m sorry, but in the eyes of an 11-17 year old, letters and phone calls does not excuse for his father’s absence or make it any better.”
